Michael Donovan Williams, also known as Mikemetic, has spent over two decades actively building and positively contributing to the creative arts community in Richmond, Virginia, Philly, and other cities up and down the East Coast. He is a multi-instrumentalist that has played in award-winning bands, and continues to lead the way in RVA’s curated music culture. His original compositions have accompanied productions at the Modlin Center, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and satellite events for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History. He is also a published author who was described by Style Weekly as “part Public Enemy and part Zora Neale Hurston” for the expressive and authentic content in his 2017 book Hood Haiku, Volume One: Sidewalk Science.
